 The main project proponent is the Government of Gambia through the Department of Parks and Wildlife Management (DPWM) under The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources .

Sahel Wetlands Concern (SWC)

SWC is one of the three Gambian NGO's who are the main facilitators of the project implementation. Providing strategies to restore and rehabilitate depleted mangrove swamps.

West African Bird Study Association (WABSA)

WABSA was formed by the Indigenous Gambian Youth, with the goal of preserving the country's flora and fauna. WABSA’s main objective is to support governmental and non-governmental agencies to conduct policies that will effectively and practically accelerate bird research and environmental protection.

Kombo Foni Forestry Association (KOMFFORA)

KOMFORRA is an organization working on promoting effective and ethical forest management in the new community forests of The Gambia. The association consists of village communities tasked with overseeing community forests. Their primary mission is to safeguard the environment while ensuring that the neighboring communities derive tangible advantages from the forested regions.

Ørsted Nature Based Solutions is financing parts of the project and is responsible for the development of carbon certification and project documentation processes.
